Westfield Teen Charged with DWI, Resisting Arrest

Westfield police arrested a local teenager and charged him with driving under the influence. Jonthan Brucia, 18, of Westfield was arrested for DWI and resisting arrest during a motor vehicle stop Aug. 7 on Stoneleigh Park. He was transported to headquarters and placed in cell one.

In other police action last week:

Aug. 5

A resident of the 1000 block of Central Avenue reported an incident of credit card fraud.

Matthew White, 32, of Westfield was arrested on a $500 Newark warrant and a Westfield warrant while on the 400 block of East Broad Street. He was processed and placed in cell one.

Aug. 6

Jese Pallo, 23, of Hackensack was arrested on a $1599 warrant after a car accident at Windsor and South Avenue East. He was placed in cell two in lieu of bail.

Raymond Gigl III 19, of South Boundbrook was arrated on a $130 Garwood warrant, a $585 Middlesex Borough warrant and a $804 Westfield warrant. He was processed and placed in cell two in lieu of bail.

Aug. 7

Edwin Vargas, 21, of Elizabeth was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on a $81 Mount Olive warrant. Bail was posted.
