An Invitation to remember Lent through Small Groups
The Presbyterian Church in Westfield (PCW) invites you to join us for small group exploration and study during Lent with a program called NOOMA. NOOMA, a series of short films, explores our current world from the perspective of Jesus Christ.
NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion. We invite you to join a NOOMA Small Group during Lent. Groups of fewer than a dozen people – not necessarily all church members - will meet once a week at various times and places for five weeks, beginning the week of Sunday March 9, 2014.
The Reverend Mike Samson explained the theory behind the small group sessions. “Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing.” The groups will discuss issues presented in the films.

Rev. Samson continued, “Christ inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God's work in the world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in.”
To join in these exciting sessions, please call the church office at 908-233-0301 for the times and places the groups will be offered. A flyer offering sign ups days and times for the March groups will be in the weekly bulletins starting Sunday, February 9.
