The closure is necessary for the installation of precast pavement panels, said NJDOT.
This is the third of three weekends that will require a single lane closure for the installation of nearly 200 precast panels. Motorists should use caution and slow down through the work zone. Expect delays or consider an alternate route.

Additional improvements include widening Route 22 to provide auxiliary lanes, streamlining ramp movements, sidewalk additions, utility upgrades, and new and improved directional signage. The project is anticipated to be complete in summer 2024.
