Sandy Is Westfield's Pet Of The Week

WESTFIELD, NJ — Meet Sandy! She has been chosen as Westfield Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Our dog Sandy, a beautiful chocolate Lab, was born in England 11 years ago. She has lived in England, Hillsborough and now Westfield. One would say she is quite the world traveler. Sandy loves to run in the back yard and go for walks in the park with her owners.

Sandy can balance a biscuit on her nose, knows how to spin around and sit on command. Recently she was taught to “speak” which, of course, is a loud bark. She will do anything for a doggie treat!

She takes her job of protecting her family very seriously by staying up all night long watching out the living room window. She alerts us if someone is at the door. We feel very safe having her around. We love her. Sandy wishes everyone a Happy New Year –woof woof woof !"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
