Spray Parks Around Union County: Where To Cool Off

An excessive heat watch was issued for Union County as dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 106 possible this week.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — The official start of Summer is here this week, and boy is it going to be hot.

A heat advisory remains in effect for the Union County area from 10 a.m. on Tuesday through 6 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service(NWS).

An excessive heat watch also remains in effect from Wednesday morning through Saturday evening.

"For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 100 expected. For the Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 106 possible," according to NWS.
