Tuesday Is Last Performance Of Westfield Jazz Festival

A special closing celebration of Westfield's Annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Tuesday is the last night to enjoy Westfield's Annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival for this year.

The festival runs annually on Tuesday nights in July and August with the last performance on Aug. 28. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Westfield's downtown area with live musicians performing while residents, visitors, shoppers and diners are strolling, dining and relaxing.

Sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC), the festival features four jazz performances each night outside in downtown Westfield at various locations - on Central Avenue in front of Banana Republic, the lawn in front of the North Avenue Train Station, Elm Street in front of the Baptist Church, and in Foundation Park across the street from 439 South Ave. W. (near the corner of South Ave W. and Westfield Ave.).

Quimby Street will be closed for a special closing celebration of the Jazz Festival Tuesday night.

Performers on Tuesday night include: Pat Cuttitta, Jazz Lobsters, Ali Ryerson and New-Trad Sextet.
