Two Top Westfield Graduates Receive Special Recognition
Elisha Israel and Austin Chen were honored for having top averages.
WESTFIELD, NJ - Two Westfield High School graduates recently received special recognition for being the top female and top male students with the highest academic averages of the Class of 2019.
For this significant achievement, senior Elisha Israel received a $500 award from the College Woman’s Club of Westfield while senior Austin Chen was awarded $500 by the College Men’s Club of Westfield.
Israel will attend Cornell University in the fall. Chen will attend Northwestern University.
The College Woman’s Club and the College Men’s Club have been helping to further the higher education of Westfield High School graduates through awards and scholarships since the organizations were founded in the early 1900s.
