Union County Seeks Election Poll Workers For June 2026 Primary Election
Union County residents can earn $300 for Election Day service.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — Union County residents have an opportunity to serve as poll workers for the Primary Election scheduled for Tuesday, June 2.
Interested individuals can apply to assist voters at polling locations across the county.
Poll workers receive $300 for their service on Election Day. The work period extends from 5:15 a.m. until at least 8:15 p.m., following the close of the polls.

Serving as a poll worker offers a way to participate directly in the democratic process and support the community. The Union County Board of Elections encourages residents to consider this opportunity.
Union County residents who are 16 years of age or older are eligible to apply. Those who are 18 or older must also be registered to vote. No prior experience is required for the position.

All new poll workers must attend a mandatory in-person training session before Election Day. This training is designed to prepare them for their duties at the polling places.
Prospective poll workers can apply through an online portal or by submitting a paper application. The online application is available by visiting the Union County Board of Elections website at ucnj.org/pollworker.
