Utility Work Temporarily Closes Part of Elmer

Part of Elmer Street in the downtown business district has been closed Thursday morning for utility work.

Workers have been digging up part of the street to conduct work on the gas line running near the First Congregational Church. Work in digging up the street took longer than expected delaying the time the road is closed.

Drivers needing to park on the impacted part of Elmer can ask the police for assistance. The work is expected to be concluded by the early afternoon on Thursday.
