Voter Turnout Low in Westfield for Senate Primary
About 9 percent of registered voters hit the polls for Tuesday's special primary election.

Just about 9 percent of Westfield's 21,383 registered voters cast a ballot in Tuesday's special U.S. Senate primary election where Democrat Cory Booker and Republican Steve Lonegan emerged to fill Sen. Frank Lautenberg's seat.
The two will face off in another special election on Oct. 16, and the winner will go to the nation's capital to serve the final 15 months of Lautenberg's term.
