WESTFIELD, NJ — The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 7. Here is what Westfield voters need to know before they hit the polls.

$11.8M Edison Fields Bond Referendum
Voters will weigh in on whether to repeal or ratify ordinance No. 2023-03 for a $11.8 million bond for the undertaking of the Edison turf field project. The ordinance was added to the ballot after a group called the Citizens for Responsible Athletic Field Development (CRAFD) submitted a petition on June 12 to the town with more than 2,800 signatures to allow Westfield voters to weigh in on the controversial Edison Fields project.

The ordinance bonding $11.8 million for the undertaking of the Edison turf field project was initially passed and finalized by the Council on May 23 with an 8 to 1 vote. Councilman Mark LoGrippo was the lone no vote. Read More: $11.8M Edison Field Project Bond Ordinance Passes In Westfield

When To Vote
Early Voting: Oct. 28 - Nov. 5
In-person voting at six locations throughout Union County will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday during this period. Votes cast during early voting are considered complete, and there will not be an opportunity to amend them.
Eligible voters who have not requested a mail-in ballot may cast their vote during this period at any of the following locations:

The boxes are all outside and under surveillance 24/7. They resemble a USPS Blue Mailbox, but are Red, White & Blue and display "Somerset County – Official Ballot Drop Box." Boxes will be available for ballot drop off 24 hours daily from Sept. 22 until 8 p.m. Election Night Nov. 7.
