Westfield Announces Roads To Be Improved In 2018

WESTFIELD, NJ — Roads around Westfield Township will be receiving a face-lift. The township has announced what roads will be improved for the 2018 year.

Roads to be improved in 2018 include:

• Prospect Street - Resurface North to East Broad Street
• Overhill Street - Resurface Madison to Brisbane Place
• Tuttle Parkway/Cowperthwaite - Resurface North to Clark Street with drainage
• Elm Street - Resurface Dudley to Sinclair
• Sylvania Place - Resurface entire length
• Park Drive - Resurface entire length
• Brightwood Avenue - Resurface Embree to Town line (completes entire length)
• Walnut Street - Construct new curbs and resurface entire length
• South Euclid - Resurface East Broad Street to Lenox (completes entire length)
• Benson Place - Resurface East Broad to Salter
• Fourth Avenue - Resurface South Chestnut to North (completes entire length)
• St. Marks - Resurface Wells Street to Gallows Hill Road
• Folkstone - Resurface entire length
• Stevens Avenue - Resurface entire length and drainage
• Cranford Avenue - Resurface Sherman to Townline (completes entire length)
• Fairacres Avenue - Resurface Benson to Wells
• Summit Avenue - Resurface Grove to Clifton
• Carleton Road - Resurface Park to Washington with drainage
• Grove Street - Resurface Central to Town Line
• Grove Street - Resurface Rahway to Central (State Aid - confirmed)
• Sycamore Street - Resurface Ripley to Central (completes entire length)
• Lynwood - Resurface First to Edgar
• Edgar Road - Resurface entire length
• Nottingham Place - Resurface entire length
• Bell Drive - Resurface Rahway to Arthur (completes entire length)
• Arthur Place - Resurface entire length
• Marion Avenue - Resurface entire length
• Florence Avenue - Resurface First Street to West Broad
• Florence Avenue - Resurface West Broad to Dead End
• North Cottage - Resurface entire length
• Cottage - Resurface entire length

Three streets were also carried over from 2017 including:

• Edgewood Avenue - Construct new curbs and resurface (Hanford to Clark)
• First Street - Construct new curbs and resurface (Scotch Plains to Florence) with drainage
• Shadowlawn Drive - Resurface Scotch Plains to Rahway

Union County will also be resurfacing North Avenue between East Broad and the Town line at Scotch Plains.
