WESTFIELD AREA Y EXERCISE TO FIGHT PARKINSON'S SYMPTOMS

WESTFIELD AREA Y EXERCISE TO FIGHT PARKINSON'S SYMPTOMS

Westfield Area Y participants of the “Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms” program recently enjoyed a fun and functional “Chorus Line” exercise lesson to music at the Main Y facility in Westfield.

Research has shown that physical exercise has positive and measurable benefits for those living with Parkinson’s. The Y has implemented this unique program that incorporates strength, flexibility, balance and cardiovascular exercises. These exercises can help soothe tremors, improve posture, smooth steps and increase overall well-being.
