Westfield Area YMCA Fall 1 Session Registration Announced
Registration for the Westfield Area YMCA Fall 1 session begins at 6:00 pm 8/10. Session is 9/5-10/28.
Registration for the Westfield Area YMCA Fall 1 session program registration begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 10th for Full members and at 7:30 am, Monday August 14th for Basic and Non-Members. The Fall 1 Session runs from September 5th - October 28th.
The new school year brings great opportunities for children of all ages to develop new skills while developing confidence and teamwork. The new Y-USA swim lesson curriculum launches in the Fall 1 session, with free swim level assessments available for class placement. New Swim Fit is for advanced swimmers ages 8-12 to build endurance and speed while also experiencing the fitness, sports and recreation aspects of swimming such as aqua running, water polo and snorkeling. Youth and teens can also enjoy classes at the Dance Academy including the new Tap and Musical Theatre programs. New sports offerings include Backyard Games, Dek Hockey and a 3 on 3 Basketball League for teens grades 6-9. The Dragonfly program for young adults with special needs is offering a new teen “Let’s Move and Dance” class for this session. Flyers Cross Country and basketball leagues are also registering.
Adults can enjoy the new Sha-Deep water exercise class. Special heath group programs such as Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms, Arthritis Exercise Program, Aquatics for People with Disabilities, Project Healthy Bones, and Special Population Personal Training are available. Bridge classes and new lunchtime lectures will be offered as well as a day trip to the Culinary Institute of America on September 22nd.
