Westfield Couple Wins $10K Ring​—​Gets Engaged

WESTFIELD, NJ - Scott Maxwell and Agata Mielczarek got engaged Saturday at the conclusion of the "Diamond Dash," and Amazing Race style competition sponsored by Braunschweiger Jewelers.

The competition pit 50 couples from throughout New Jersey against each other which had them following clues to different locations. At the end of the journey was a $10,000 diamond engagement ring.

The first couple to solve all the clues and reach the final location won the diamond ring. Of course, there was a twist. The couple who arrived at the final location and wins the engagement ring must then propose on the spot.

So when Maxwell and Mielczarek reached the proverbial finish line, Maxwell dropped to one knee:

"The Diamond Dash was an incredible event," Robin Braunschweiger Silva at Braunschweiger Jewelers said. "We couldn’t have done it without the local Morristown businesses and of course the amazing contestants. We wish they all could have won. We are beyond excited for Scott and Agata and happy to be a part of their love story."
