Westfield Grad Wins Gold Medal Award In Design

WESTFIELD, NJ - June was a big month for Westfield's Morgan Eng, as she graduated with the class of 2019 and received a national Gold Medal Award in Design.

Eng was honored at the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards National Ceremony at
Carnegie Hall on June 6. The Gold Medal winners represented about 1 percent of all submissions for 2019, officials said.

Previously, Eng was awarded four “Gold Keys” and four “Silver Keys” at the regional level in various art categories that ranged from animation and painting to photography and more. One of Ing’s Gold Key pieces was exhibited in April at the Montclair Art Museum. All regional Gold Key winners were then judged at the national level.
