Westfield High Promotes 'Hot Chocolate And Healthy Choices'
Westfield High School students held an annual event to educate peers about drug and alcohol abuse and promote 'healthy choices' instead.
WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield High School “Dream Team,” a club that promotes healthy choices, hosted its annual hot chocolate this month to spread awareness about drug and alcohol abuse.
Students who stopped by the WHS Student Center during lunch were given a fact, on a piece of paper, about substance abuse and prevention. When they read it aloud, they received a cup of hot chocolate.
The event is sponsored by the Westfield Municipal Alliance, which creates and supports programs for substance abuse prevention education. The alliance also sponsors the Dream Team, which hosts a variety of drug and alcohol-free social events.
