Westfield HS Marching Band Nabs Top Honors At Competition
The Marching Blue Devils tied for first place at a recent New Jersey Marching Band Directors Association competition in Piscataway.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield High School marching band tied for first place at a recent competition in Piscataway, the district said in a news release.
The Marching Blue Devils shared the honor with John P. Stevens High School after receiving the highest score of 12 schools that competed in the New Jersey Marching Band Directors Association (NJMBDA) competition on Oct. 7.
According to the school, Westfield also earned the highest scores for best visual and best effects.

This year's marching band is under the leadership of drum majors Sarah Lincoln, Maggie
Crooks and Nick Regas.
On Oct. 21, the Marching Blue Devils will travel to another NJMBDA contest in East Brunswick. The band will then attend the Bands of America Regional competition at Rutgers University and the NJMBDA State Championships at The College of New Jersey.
