WESTFIELD, NJ - Franklin third graders are participating in the Great American Postcard Race with the goal to acquire postcards from every state.

The cards must be addressed to Franklin School, include three facts about the state and be postmarked from that state.

"Many students contact friends, relatives, and even government officials for information," said teacher Penny O'Donnell. "It's a great way to learn about the regions of the United States. The students love it.”
