Write-In Candidate Todd Saunders Announces Run For Westfield Council In Ward 1
Saunders will be running under the Republican ticket.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Born and raised in Westfield Todd Saunders announced his candidacy for Town Council in Ward 1 on the Republican ticket.
"I grew up here, my parents grew up here, and I was fortunate to have most of my aunts, uncles, and cousins live here as well. If you didn’t know one of them, you may have met one of my 100-plus foster brothers and sisters that lived with us," said Saunders. "There is no place my wife Jillian and I would rather raise our family. We are expecting our first child, a baby girl in July, and I can’t wait for her to grow up and experience this amazing community."
Saunders went to Tamaques, Edison, and Westfield High and his family has been in Westfield for 60 years. His father owns a small business downtown and his parents are Jefferson school sweethearts - they even had their first date at the original Ferraros.

"I love this town and I’m grateful for every friend, neighbor, coach and teacher who helped me on my journey. I’m running for office to give back and to help preserve Westfield’s past, but also protect our future," said Saunders.
"I feel I have a unique perspective and skillset to offer. Having grown up here, I love and understand the charm and character of Westfield. I’ll fight to preserve that charm, but I also understand that like anything, we need to change and evolve. This can be done without overdevelopment and by listening, engaging, and appreciating the input from the people that live here," said Saunders.
