YOUTH of PCW Rebuild HOPE
The book of Romans 12:12-13 says, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” The youth of the Presbyterian Church in Westfield (PCW) know how to practice hospitality and hope for people in need.!
The Reverend Emily Wilmarth has announced that February is the month to celebrate not only heart health awareness and Valentine’s Day, but also a time to celebrate the mission work of the youth at PCW. This month the students are raising awareness and funding for its Youth Mission projects. The money raised will go to support Youth mission work such as:
The Agape Community Kitchen, serving 300 hot meals to the people of Elizabeth every Wednesday afternoon, the High School Mission Trip, the Middle School Mission Trip, and local mission efforts, such as day trips helping areas affected by Sandy.

On the first Sunday in February, the teens served a typical Agape lunch to the congregation after the 11 a.m. service. Students sat at each of the round tables to enlighten the diners of the work that they do at Agape.
At every service this month a different student presents a “Moment for Missions” where he or she tells the effect mission trips have had on their spiritual growth.

Rev. Wilmarth told the congregation in an open letter, “We thank the congregation and friends of the church for their past support and want you to know how much your faith in our youth means.”
If you would like to make a donation to this year's campaign for ongoing projects and mission efforts, checks may be sent directly to the church at 140 Mountain Avenue, Westfield, NJ 07090 (made out to "The Presbyterian Church" with "YRH" in the memo), use the YRH envelopes found in the pews in the Sanctuary and Chapel on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings, or stop by the Youth ReBuilding Hope table after church any Saturday or Sunday in February.
