3. 2 Vehicles Stolen In West Orange, Each Recovered In Nearby Towns: Police (patch.com) — Two recent vehicle thefts in West Orange, including a motorcycle on Valley Road and a Jeep Cherokee taken from Smith Manor Boulevard, were both resolved when the vehicles were recovered in Edison and Belleville. Police say the incidents highlight ongoing auto theft concerns in town, but also show that stolen vehicles can sometimes be tracked down in nearby communities.

West Orange Police Chase Suspects After Jewelry Store Theft (patch.com) — West Orange residents are being alerted to a recent theft at Walter Bauman Jewelers on Eagle Rock Avenue, where two suspects fled in a blue BMW, sparking a police chase into Montclair. Officers ultimately ended the pursuit, and police have released basic descriptions of the two men as they continue their investigation.

New Jersey Credit Unions Just Dropped 5,500+ Pounds of Food Where It's Needed Most (thecreditunionconnection.com) — West Orange residents benefit directly from a statewide credit union food drive that supplied the Holy Trinity-West Orange Food Pantry with part of more than 5,500 pounds of donated food. The summer-focused effort helped restock pantries during a high-need season, with 17 New Jersey credit unions collecting items for over two dozen local hunger-relief organizations.
