According to a statement from the mayor’s office, the forum took place as immigration enforcement activity and public conversation across New Jersey have prompted questions from families about constitutional protections, the role of local institutions and available community resources.

“Our responsibility is to ensure people understand their rights, understand how local institutions operate, and know where to turn for trusted guidance,” Green said.
