Essex County Sheriff's Office Delivers 400 Thanksgiving Turkeys

Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura and the officers and civilian staff from his department delivered almost 400 turkeys and more than two tons of bulk foodstuffs to local soup kitchens, food banks, houses of worship, senior citizen centers and schools throughout Essex County over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Sheriff’s 26th annual Thanksgiving Food Drive also delivered holiday food baskets with all the traditional trimmings to scores of locally indigent families, according to a release.
