The Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center will host Bow Wow Pow Wow, a series of informative talks for dog owners, beginning April 27.
Each program, featuring a board-certified veterinarian on staff with the Animal Emergency and Referral Associates and Animal Eye Center of New Jersey, will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Saint Barnabas Health Care System Corporate Office, 95 Old Short Hills Road in West Orange. Cost is $12 for an individual program or $40 for a series subscription.
All proceeds benefit the Paws for Patients hospice canine therapy program in which volunteer teams consisting of a certified therapy dog, and its owner, visit patients and families under the care of the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center.

Presented by Dr. Michael Palescandolo and Dr. Betty Pyatak-Monaghan, Dip ABVP. The holidays will quickly lose their luster should your dog ingest a toxic substance. In addition to the known offenders – tinsel, chocolate and mistletoe – there are many other hazardous substances that arrive with the season. Get all the information you need to protect your pet.
