The M²AD event has established a footprint in the community which has inspired and attracted hundreds of men and their children to the conference. It has been designed to actively engage Men who desire to make a positive difference in their families, their communities, and their own lives. The conference will be conducted in collaboration with Students of the Word, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax exempt registered community organization who specializes in assisting organizations to more effectively engage in community outreach initiatives. The affair will include a keynote address which will be delivered by Wade Hudson, Author and Publisher as well as workshops and a youth forum.
The event is being themed “Celebrating Men of Distinction”. The M²AD Man of Distinction Award has been presented since the inception of the Men Make A Difference Conference in 2008. During the Annual Conference, honorees are recognized for their accomplishments in Community Service, Art, Education, Literature, the Performing Arts, Politics, Law, Business, Science, Athletics or other related fields and they in turn, shared the highlights of their lives.
The organization has chosen Renard Barnes, Former Councilman of West Orange Township and Attorney and Mike Taylor, Community Activist as the 2011 Honorees. Both are West Orange Township residents.
