"Guardianship and Estate Planning for Children with Special Needs"

PASSE will be holding its next meeting on Wednesday, May 25 at 7:00pm in the Library Media Center at West Orange High School. The topic is "Guardianship and Estate Planning for Children with Special Needs" presented by the law firm of Hinkle, Fingles & Prior.  This is an extrememly important topic.  For example, did you know that if your child is left more than a couple thousand dollars through your will or a life insurance policy or other assets, they will lose eligibility for government benefits?  Did you know that unless you take steps before your child turns 18, they will be legally responsible for medical and legal decisions affecting them upon their 18th birthday?  Do you know how to establish guardianship for your disabled child as they reach adulthood?  Please come and learn about these very important topics in planning for your child's future from a knowledgeable and experienced speaker.  RSVP to 973-736-1447 or execboard@wopasse.org.
