Orange Woman Arrested in Gas Station Robbery

Attendant injured during incident

An Orange woman faces possible jail time after she dragged a gas station attendant with her car during a robbery Wednesday at 399 Northfield Ave.

The attendant received minor injuries when he was dragged while attempting to stop Sierra Dixon, 23, of Orange, who allegedly stole about $10 of gasoline.

West Orange police officials said the man grabbed on to the vehicle after Dixon attempted to flee the station at 399 Northfield Ave.

West Orange Police Department Lt. Michael Keigher said Dixon filled up her car and fled once her credit card was declined. 

The male employee then apparently attempted to stop the driver, but was dragged as he grabbed on to the car door. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Keigher said Dixon was arrested within two hours of the incident and charged with second-degree robbery and possession of a weapon. That weapon being the car. No gun or knife was used.
