Grand Opening Nears For Burlington Store In West Orange
The company formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory will hold a grand opening event with free giveaways in West Orange.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Burlington will hold a grand opening event with free giveaways at its new store in West Orange this weekend.
The retailer formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory is opening a location at the Essex Green shopping center at 495 Prospect Avenue in West Orange. The West Orange location will bring the company's stores in New Jersey to a total of 42.
The West Orange store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Sunday. People seeking to apply for a job can visit the company’s website.

The grand opening will include events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to a news release from the company:
- On Friday, Sept. 9, following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the first 200 customers (ages 18 and up) will receive a $5 bonus card to be used toward their purchase
- On Saturday, Sept. 10, the first 200 customers aged 18 and up will receive a Burlington WOW! Buck to scratch off and reveal a prize up to $250 that can be used toward their purchase
- On Sunday, Sept. 11, customers will receive a free Burlington tote while supplies last, with no purchase necessary
To celebrate the grand opening of the new store, Burlington will be donating $5,000 to Washington Elementary School through its longstanding partnership with the national nonprofit, AdoptAClassroom.org. Funds will be used to help teachers purchase materials for their classrooms. A presentation of the donation to local school and district leaders will take place at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a store in West Orange,” Burlington Stores CEO Michael O’Sullivan said.
As with other Burlington stores, the West Orange location will have:
- Clothing and accessories (adult and child)
- Footwear
- Baby items
- Home décor
- Pet care products and toys
“The safety and well-being of our customers and associates remains our top priority, and we encourage our customers to follow local and CDC safety guidance,” the company previously said in a news release.
According to a statement from the “off-price retailer,” the New Jersey-based company compiled Fiscal Year 2021 net sales of $9.3 billion. The company operated 866 stores as of the end of the first quarter of Fiscal 2022, in 46 states and Puerto Rico, principally under the name Burlington Stores.
