Homepage Will Get New Look: Here's What You Need to Know

We're getting a new homepage. It will launch around 11 a.m. Friday on all Patch sites across the country.

Some of the new features include:

• More prominently featured articles at the top of the page. Stories will stay fresh for longer and large photos are an inviting gateway into the article.
• Announcements — with photos — also displayed in a larger format on the front.
• An easier-to-use community calendar.
• A column template at the bottom of the page that allows easier access to the different series we run, such as "(dot)Mom" and "Fitness Friday."
• A prominently displayed directory, also with photos, that will make it easier to learn more about West Orange's churches, government institutions, restaurants, shops and other such entities.
• A scrapbook featuring all the newest photos posted on the site. Clicking on a particular photo will take you to the corresponding article.
