East Orange Firefighter Marc Jackson stands trial for transporting 290 gallons of gasoline in the back of his vehicle into town, or as Essex County Assistant Prosecutor Michael Morris called it “a large gasoline bomb,” in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
The 29-year-old planned on selling it to residents in need of gasoline, but he was later arrested by East Orange police and has since been accused of creating a risk of widespread injury or damage by recklessly handling the gasoline, according to nj.com.
