Local High School Seniors Celebrate College Commitments
Last week seniors at West Orange High School celebrated their college selections.
West Orange High School graduating seniors celebrated their college commitments by sporting their respective colleges’ colors last week.
Students wore t-shirts of their respective college and university selections at the high school on Friday, May 1. Rutgers University topped the list of commitments among West Orange High School seniors, with Montclair State University, Temple University, Drew University, Penn State University and numerous others following, officials from West Orange Public Schools said.
“I’m proud of the 2015 Mountaineer graduating class,” West Orange High School Principal Hayden Moore said. “I know they will move on to impact our world in a positive way.”

Each year West Orange High School students are admitted into colleges and universities across the United States. According to school district officials, approximately 94 percent of students attend post-secondary education institutions, two percent enter the workforce and another two percent enter the military.
