Man’s Body Found Outside West Orange Bar: Police
Essex County authorities launched an investigation after a deceased man's body was found in West Orange on July 4th.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Essex County authorities have launched an investigation after a deceased man’s body was found in West Orange on Independence Day.
A spokesperson with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday morning that the agency is in the early stages of an investigation into “an incident in which a person died” in West Orange on July 4. The man was found dead on arrival, police said.
The cause and manner of death of the deceased are pending an autopsy, the spokesperson said.

Essex County prosecutors provided the following update on Thursday afternoon:
"Shortly after 6 p.m., West Orange police officers were dispatched to a bar on White Street on a report of an unconscious male. Arriving officers located an unresponsive male on the sidewalk. The male, who has been identified as Luis Alberto Bruzzon-Villanueva, of Orange, was transported to Saint Barnabas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m. The investigation, which is being conducted by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force and the West Orange Police Department, indicates that Bruzzon-Villanueva was involved in an altercation in the bar. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is active and ongoing."
