Matthew Mulligan Becomes Shauger Group's President of Operations

Growing up in West Orange and shopping at the Dodd Town ShopRite in East Orange, I would never have imagined that in 2021 I would be working with my wife and children for our family-owned company, with over 120 wonderful coworkers by our side.

In 1981, we started with a Mazda pickup repairing potholes. Since then, we have built an AMAZING COMPANY AND TEAM by never saying “no” to any project. With our company specializing in all phases of property maintenance, we have offered our public and private clients a wide, diverse range of services, and we have done countless projects over the years we are very proud of.

Today—November 1—is an exciting day for The Shauger Group, as it marks the start of the exciting next chapter for The Shauger Group. As we continue building for the next generation, the “new” Shauger Group will focus on underground utilities, landscaping, street sweeping, snow plowing/removal, and special condo projects.

Lisa and I are proud to announce that, as of November 1, 2021, Matthew Mulligan will become President of Operations. In his capacity as President of Operations, he will oversee all company operations and will work with our son, Donnie, to build for the next generation while ensuring the company’s continued growth and success.

We are extremely proud and honored to have Matty in his new role as President of Operations, running the day-to-day company operations. Matty started with us as a laborer 30 years ago, and he has been an irreplaceable part of The Shauger Group in every position he has held. On a personal level, Matty is truly the ultimate family man—he does so much for the community through his involvement with the Elks, and we are proud to see someone of such great character serving as President of Operations of The Shauger Group.
