Ambulance, Car Collide Near West Orange Nursing Home: Officials
2 people were hospitalized after a head-on collision on Pleasant Valley Way near the Green Hill Nursing home, West Orange authorities said.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A pair of drivers were hospitalized with “serious but non-life-threatening” injuries after a head-on collision on Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange on Thursday morning.
The crash involved a private medical transport van and a passenger vehicle. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to University Hospital in Newark, according to West Orange Fire Department Chief Anthony Vecchio.
A West Orange town spokesperson provided an update about the crash on Thursday afternoon:

"The incident took place on Pleasant Valley Way near the Green Hill Nursing home. The transport ambulance was traveling south on Pleasant Valley Way when it was struck by a Honda Odyssey that was traveling northbound on Pleasant Valley Way. The Honda swerved to avoid a collision with a vehicle that attempted to make an abrupt left turn into the nursing home. The drivers were the only occupants of both vehicles and both were transported to University Hospital in Newark. No summonses were issued."
