In addition to the new bus lane, renovation plans at the school included expanding the parking lot from 53 to 71 spaces, widening sidewalks and making improvements to the grading and the drainage system, TAP Into West Orange reported.
Public discussions of the renovations were a sticky topic at West Orange Planning Board meetings, with some residents complaining about safety concerns and the loss of decades-old trees in the area. However, reaction to the announcement was positive on social media.
