Project P.R.I.D.E. Promotes Drug Education
Prisoners will help spread awareness to the community at April 18 event.

The will present "Project P.R.I.D.E: Promoting Responsibility in Drug Education" on Wed., April 18 at at 7 p.m.
Project P.R.I.D.E. is a community outreach program of the New Jersey Department of Corrections that spreads awareness of the prison system, promotes responsible citizenship and reduces the appeal of drug and alcohol use. The program is sponsored by The Center for Prison Outreach and Education.
Prison inmates, who volunteer with the program, will share their stories about prison life and the decisions they made that got them there. The goal of the program is to keep children away from drugs and alcohol and educate them about how to make smart choices.

The event is free and open to all. Children are welcome to attend with their parents. There is a question-and-answer period after the presentation. For more information, email lhascsak@verizon.net.
