Police are searching for whoever reportedly left a soiled birth control item on top of a UPS package at an Essex County home.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are searching for whoever reportedly left a soiled birth control item on top of a UPS package at a South Spring Garden Avenue home in Nutley last week.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the resident contacted officers on Aug. 30 and reported that they found a “used prophylactic” on top of a package on their steps. The victim contacted the retailer and UPS, who reportedly stated that they would make amends by picking up the package and delivering a new item, police said.

Nutley officers unsuccessfully interviewed neighbors in the area in an attempt to learn more about the alleged incident, authorities stated.
