WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange residents headed to the polls for the 2019 general election on Tuesday, Nov. 5. In addition to statehouse and county races, voters chose representatives on their local board of education.

In West Orange, voters chose among three candidates for two open seats on the board of education in the West Orange Public School District.

With 37 of 37 districts reported, it appears that - pending official certification - Jennifer Tunnicliffe and Gary Rothstein have emerged victorious.

According to the Essex County Clerk’s Office, the unofficial results are:

  • Gary Rothstein - 2,780 (30.57%)
  • Jeremias Salinas Jr. - 2,304 (25.33%)
  • Jennifer Tunnicliffe - 3,976 (43.72%)
