WEST ORANGE, NJ — A local softball ace has entered the West Orange High School history books as only the second player to strike out 300 batters in her career.
Livia Mair notched her milestone strikeout in the second inning of the team’s recent 12-0 win against Newark Tech. She reached the landmark in only 2.5 seasons, according to the West Orange Public School District.
