West Orange HS Students Raise $3K For Parkland Shooting Victims
"I'm so proud of these kids… they've worked so hard," said Music Booster President Matt Mongelli.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — Students at West Orange High School recently held a concert in support of the anti-gun violence movement that’s sprung up in the wake of the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14.
During that concert, the students put on a display that featured vocal performances, the wind ensemble, dance students and the boys and girls step teams. They also designed and sold a t-shirt to support their peers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
On June 11, the students reaped the rewards of their efforts, sending a $3,000 check and a banner signed by concert attendees to the Florida school.
