GARBAGE - Due to the expected snowfall and the timing, garbage collection for Saturday, January 29, will be canceled. Garbage collection will resume on Monday, with normal scheduled pickup.

PARKING - Residents are asked to avoid parking on township streets or county roads, wherever possible, to allow for public works crews to clear roadways. Snow clearing and removal will continue long after the snow stops, and we ask all residents to remain patient.

POWER OUTAGES - To report downed wires or power outages, call PSE&G’s Customer Service line at 1-800-436-PSEG. Or residents can report outages by logging into their PSE&G account online or by texting “OUT” to 4PSEG (47734).

OTHER PROBLEMS - To report problems or concerns during the storm, email the township at snow@westorange.org

“All snowstorms present challenges, but as a weekend snowfall, you can remain at home and we encourage all residents to stay off the roads, unless necessary, until crews have had time to clear the snow and make streets safe for travel,” Parisi said.

“We thank all residents in advance for your patience and understanding,” he concluded. “Be safe … and stay home.”
