West Orange Schools Get Extra Day Off For Memorial Weekend 2017

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Need to take the kids on vacation in West Orange? The Memorial Day holiday might be just the chance you were looking for.

On Tuesday, the West Orange Public School District shared the following message via social media:

“This notice is to inform you that school will be closed on Friday, May 26 and Monday, May 29 for the Memorial Day weekend. Since the district only used three of the four snow days built into this year's district calendar, the [Board of Education] approved a ‘give back day’ for Friday, May 26, which was originally scheduled as a school day. School will reopen on Tuesday, May 30.”
