With 10 kids under his belt, West Orange resident Bill Kehoe could star in his own reality TV show, trumping "John and Kate Plus 8." Instead, Kehoe remains quietly committed to his family both at home and in the community. As the director of recreation in the township, Kehoe is anything but short of kids.
"There's never a dull moment," said Kehoe, whose kids range from age 38 to age 10. "You always have plenty of company, that's for sure."
He said his four eldest sons are all married with kids, making Kehoe a grandfather of five and soon to be grandfather of six. His other six children live at home with Kehoe and his wife.

"You're worrying about one kid's job and another kid's third grade homework, you're always doing things," said Kehoe.
He said, though, he doesn't mind the hustle and bustle of 10 children. "You watch them and try to get them each to reach their potential and find their way."

Dealing with children, teens and aduls, all at different stages of development, though, requires a bit of teamwork.
"I help with the practical things," said Kehoe. "My wife does a much better job with their attitudes and moral development. We each get our little niche."
But, what's the hardest part for super dad?
Paperwork.
"The paperwork for a big family is an incredible amount of stuff, little book keeping things get magnified," said Kehoe. "You're helping them with financial aid and forms for college, car insurance."
The Kehoe family will celebrate Father's Day with a christening Saturday evening and then gather together at home on Sunday. He said he didn't request lavish gifts and doesn't expect anything.
"My wife and I put our personal wish list to the side a while ago. The gift is really family," he said.
