Area Memorial Day Ceremonies, Parades

The following Bergen County Patch municipalities are hosting Memorial Day events tomorrow.

Ridgewood

The Fred D’Elia Ridgewood Run at Veteran’s Memorial Field, Monday at 8 a.m. American Legion Post 53 will host a service at Memorial Park Monday at 11 a.m. in Van Neste Square on East Ridgewood Avenue.

Mahwah

A parade will be held Monday at 10 a.m. beginning at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. church, 47 Island Road, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park at Franklin Turnpike and East Ramapo Avenue.

Wyckoff

Fire Company 1 will host a ceremony at 9 a.m. at 340 Franklin Ave. following by a service at 10 a.m. at Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Ave. A parade will be held beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Church, 495 Wyckoff Ave. and end at Town Hall. Refreshments will be served after the parade at Fire Company 1.

Paramus

Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Forest Avenue entrance to Van Saun County Park and ending with a tribute ceremony at Memorial School at 203 East Midland Avenue.

Oakland

Parade begins at 1 p.m. Sunday on Dogwood Drive and ends with a remembrance ceremony at Veterans Park.

Fort Lee

Parade begins at 10 a.m. at he Jack Alter Community Center at 1335 Inwood Terrace and ends at Constitution Park.

Ramsey

Parade begins at 11 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 55 Wyckoff Ave., and ends with a ceremony at Veterans Park on East Main Street.

Fair Lawn

Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pollitt Drive and ends with a ceremony at the Avenue of Heroes in Memorial Park.

Teaneck

A ceremony will be held at the green in front of the Municipal Complex at 818 Teaneck Road at 11 a.m.

Englewood

Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Soldier’s Monument, West Palisade Avenue and Tenafly Road, following by a parade beginning on Palisade Avenue and ending at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Army veteran Oscar hernandez will be the grand marshal.

Englewood Cliffs

Service at the borough Firehouse, 475 Sylvan Ave., at 9:30 a.m.

Hasbrouck Heights

Parade begins at 9:30 Monday at the intersection of Lawrence and Terrace avenues after which a service will be held at Veterans Memorial Park at Passaic Street and Terrace Avenue.

Westwood

Ceremony at 8 a.m. at Firemen’s Park, following by a parade beginning at Kinderkamack Road and Harrington Avenue and ending with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park at 10 a.m.

Hillsdale

Parade at 10:30 a.m. Monday beginning at the George G. White School, 120 Magnolia Ave. and ending with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park.

New Milford

Fireman’s service at 8 a.m. Monday at Borough Hall, 930 River Road, a service at 8:30 a.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4290, 267 Madison Ave., and a parade at 9:15 a.m. The parade begins at River Road and Cecchno Drive. It ends with a ceremony at Borough Hall.
