Basketball Season Openers: IHA defeats PC in triple overtime Tuesday

Week in Review

• The IHA girls basketball team defeated Clifton last Friday, 57-50. They went on to beat Paramus Catholic in triple overtime Tuesday, 57-53.

• The Westwood boys basketball team had a few tough defeats this week to Ridgefield Park on Friday, 38-57, Tenafly on Tuesday, 40-54 and Dwight-Morrow Englewood on Thursday, 64-71.

• The Lady Cardinals basketball team lost to Ridgefield Park in their season opener last Friday, 26-63. They saw a tough defeat against Tenafly Tuesday, 32-50.

• The Westwood Wrestling team defeated Ridgefield Park Wednesday, 40-30.

What's Ahead:

MONDAY, DEC. 26

• The Lady Eagles basketball team will play in the Marist H.S. Christmas tournament starting at 10 a.m.

TUESDAY, JAN. 3

• The Lady Cardinals basketball team will play Passaic Valley away at 4:15 p.m.

• The Westwood Boys basketball team will play Fair Lawn home at 7 p.m.

• The Cardinal Bowling team will compete against Dumont at 4 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 4

• The Cardinal Wrestlers have an away match against Ramsey at 7 p.m.

THURSDAY, JAN. 5

• Westwood will bowl against Cliffside Park at 4 p.m.

• The IHA girls basketball team will play Passaic County Technical Institute away at 4 p.m.

FRIDAY, JAN. 6

• The Westwood girls basketball team will play Elmwood Park away at 4:15 p.m.

• The Westwood boys will play New Milford away at 7 p.m.
