Bergen Cop Accused Of Sexting Teenage Girls Arrested Again

Sgt. Eric J. Reamy, the Glen Rock cop who allegedly sent sexually explicit texts to two teenage girls, was arrested Friday on charges that he sold guns that had been surrendered to the Glen Rock Police Department.
Reamy, 51, who was the evidence officer in charge of the detective bureau, alleged took custody of several handguns and rifles that were surrendered to the department and sold them at two gun stores “as though they were his own property,” said Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.
A laptop and a pellet gun, which also should have been secured as evidence, were found when authorities executed a search warrant at Reamy’s former Fair Lawn home, Molinelli said.

Reamy, who now lives in Hackensack, was charged with seven counts of theft by failure to make required disposition of property received, a third-degree crime, authorities said.

Reamy was charged Aug. 5 with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly exchanging sexually explicit text messages to two girls, ages 14 and 17, who he was supervising while he was the borough’s juvenile officer. Reamy allegedly sent the 14-year-old two photos of his genitals, authorities said.
A 27-year veteran of the department, Reamy was due to retire Aug. 31.
Molinelli’s press release said that blanket bail was imposed on the seven new charges.
The Record reported that Reamy remains under house arrest and continues to wear an ankle bracelet while out on $250,000 bail.
Reamy is also charged with possession of of child pornography, based on allegations that he received a photograph of the girl’s breasts over the Internet, the report states.
