Coyote That Bit Bergen County Man Tests Positive For Rabies

Norwood police have confirmed that the coyote that attacked and bit a man walking his dog over the weekend has tested positive for rabies.

The coyote was later found and euthanized earlier this week, News12.com reported. The man has been receiving rabies shots since the attack.

The attack was one of several that have occurred in Bergen County recently.

Another man was attacked at his Saddle River home while working in his yard. That same coyote, according to reports, attacked a neighbor’s dog as well.

A Norwood woman also had a run in with one on Sunday. It ran off when her husband made loud noises.
