Dr. Grace Chin, DDS of Twinkle Little Star Pediatric Dentistry in Westwood came to speak at the GFWC Paskack Junior Woman's Club meeting on March 12, 2014. A wide variety of topics were discussed from the use of flouride, flouride alternatives like Xylitol, the appropriate age for children to brush their teeth independently, cavities in baby teeth, and tips to make brushing children's teeth a routine, enjoyable experience.
Dr. Chin emphasized the need for children to develop good dental practices at an early age, starting with brushing their teeth at least twice a day, flossing every day, and routine dental visits. "Just as your child has a pediatrican, s/he should also have a dentist," says Chin.
