Looking for an intense after-school basketball program? Basketball boot camp at the Bergen County YJCC focuses on improving all areas of the game, including ball handling, shooting, defense and footwork. Groups for children in kindergarten through second grade are co-ed; groups from 3rd through 8th grade are divided by gender. All groups meet once a week at the YJCC, 605 Pascack Road,
Township of Washington, with the new session starting the week of April 16.
Basketball Bootcamp is directed by Jenny Jurjevic, who played the sport at Pascack Valley High School and attended Iona College on a full basketball scholarship. She has been head basketball coach for the Bergen County YJCC since 2006 and head coach for Emerson High School’s girls varsity basketball team since 2007.
